Rewriting Sentences

Hi. Today for our writing workshop, we had to rewrite some sentences in our speech. What you're  about to see are some of the sentences that I chose to rewrite.

We made Racism and we need to stop it because if we don’t, it could get worse because there are children and they haven’t unlocked their full potential. Some of these children could’ve done something to make the future easier or could’ve done something to help other people. These children might’ve grown up to become doctors, scientists or anything that would help our future so that we could live an easy and good life but Racism has gotten into the way of that. (Original)

We made Racism and we can fight to stop it because if we don’t, it could get more worse because there are children and they haven’t unlocked their full potential.
We made racism and it was one of our biggest mistakes in history. If we can’t stop racism, we at least need to do something to put it away for a bit of time. If we don't stop, more children will lose their lives. (Rewritten)

America, Great Britain, the Soviet Union and China teamed up against Germany, Italy and Japan to win WW2 and to stop Adolf Hitler's Reign. (Original)

During the war, three countries teamed up to stop the big threats. Those three countries were America, Great Britain, The Soviet Union and China teamed up against the big threats. The big threats were Germany, Italy and Japan. In order to finish the war, they had to defeat them. (Rewritten)

There have been many stereotypes about people who are black commit a lot of crimes and they leave their families but I think that people don’t have the right to make these jokes because they’re making fun of a colour and a race. (Original)

In our world, there is a lot of stereotypes. A lot of stereotypes are for black people because apparently they commit more crimes than everyone else or black men leave their families. I think that no one should have a right to make these kind of jokes. There are also some stereotypes that I've heard or seen that Asian people are more smarter then everyone else or they eat pets. I think that people were never given the right to make stereotypes of other peoples cultures. (Rewritten)

Have you ever heard a stereotype about someones race? If so, did you stand up, or let it slide. Be an upstander, not a bystander
